08.05.08 - Project Vote Fundraiser

We are proud to announce that through our Vote 2008 T-shirt fundraiser, we raised $4355.00 in support of Project Vote this summer! Project Vote is the leading technical assistance and direct service provider to the civic participation community. Since its founding in 1982, they have provided professional training, management, evaluation and technical services on a broad continuum of key issues related to voter engagement and participation in low-income and minority communities. Despite recent upticks in voter participation, a significant portion of the electorate, concentrated in low-income and minority communities, is still alienated from the electoral process. This weakens our democracy by excluding from major public policy decisions the voices of the most vulnerable and least powerful. Project Vote knows that strong democracy needs active participation from all sectors of society, and works hard to engage low-income and minority voters in the civic process. Project Vote has registered more than 1 million people for the 2008 elections! Thanks ya'll for your generous support during our summer tour! Our vote t-shirts will be available during our Fall tour and $5 from every t-shirt will again support this incredible organization.

Already have tickets to the show? We'll be sure to get you something special for your efforts such as an autographed poster or t-shirt.

Email indigostreetteam@gmail.com with your name, phone number, and what show you can help with. Please include "Green Team" in your subject line as well as the city name. Please note that we can not respond to all inquiries.
